At times, when attempting to join win2k boxes to the samba-pdc domain, the error message is received:
The following error attempting to join the domain "IMB" The remote procedure call failed.
Logging out, relogging in and attempting to join the domain again is often successful. No cause identified.
Joining the samba domain is accomplished exactly the same way you would join a domain if you were using a windows domain controller. There are a couple of changes to the windows registry for XP that are necessary if the machine is going to successfully join the domain.
